2026 Summary of Facilities Master Plan
Welcome!
The Tehachapi Unified School District Facilities Master Plan (2026–2031) establishes a long-range framework to modernize aging infrastructure, upgrade campus safety, and enhance early childhood and special education facilities districtwide. Bond Measure D works in tandem with state matching grants (over $22 million) to maximize local taxpayer dollars, prioritizing essential modernization and reinvestment into existing facilities over broad campus expansion.
Key Districtwide Priorities
-
Early Learning & Special Education: Construction of dedicated Transitional Kindergarten (TK) and Kindergarten classrooms, alongside upgraded Special Education learning environments featuring internal restrooms.
-
Middle & High School Upgrades: Modernization of aging classroom wings and science labs at Jacobsen Middle School, initiating Phase 1 of the Tehachapi High School Performing Arts Center, and constructing a new high school athletic stadium.
-
Essential Infrastructure & Safety: Districtwide replacements of aging roofs, central HVAC systems, campus security fencing, fire alarm systems, and optimized parking/drop-off circulation.
