Message from the Superintendent

Welcome to TUSD! I am grateful to be part of the beautiful community of Tehachapi and honored to serve as the Tehachapi Unified School District Superintendent. As a District team, our mission is to provide all students uncompromised excellence in academic instruction as well as guidance to help students develop the knowledge, skills, and character to be successful, contributing, and positive citizens.  We are dedicated to our Governing Board’s goals:

  1. Student learning and achievement
  2. Safe and effective learning environments for students

For the 2023-2024 school year, our theme is “It’s Today”. Our “It’s Today” message is meant to convey our district-wide energy and laser-focus on meeting students' current educational needs each and every day. We want to make every moment in school count and we strive to help all students excel both academically and social emotionally.

Our District team and staff members are committed to bringing their very best each and every day to serve the students and families of TUSD.

Our partnership with families and the community is essential to the success of our students. I encourage you to become involved in any way that you can, whether it be by volunteering in one of our schools, attending a Tehachapi High School sporting event, or staying connected to the latest school and District updates by signing up for ParentSquare. It is also critical for families to stay up to date on their student’s academic progress by signing up for Aeries Parent Portal, where they can check in on their student's grades and progress.

As a parent or guardian, if you need assistance in accessing ParentSquare or the Aeries Parent Portal, please reach out to our Technology Department for assistance by emailing: techsupport@tehachapiusd.com

We are here to support you. Our District Office team can be reached at (661) 822-2100.

Have a great 2023-2024 school year!
